Adult mom and daughter attempt to cut airport lines while waiting for shuttle bus, only to have a passenger immediately put them in their place: ‘Move back!’

  • "Adult Mother & Daughter cut the entire airport shuttle line."

Just flew solo with my two young kids for the first time. Spent three hours driving to the airport then three hours flying and finally get to where the shuttle is and after 10 minutes it arrives and it's clear
  • we have too much baggage to fit so I let everyone behind me get on. My kids have been doing great all day but the cracks are starting to appear and I just want to get them in the car so I can put a movie on the tablet and drive the 1.5 hours home.
  • Cue the elderly Karen and her daughter. I've now been standing waiting for almost 25 minutes and I have a wagon with our backpacks and what not and two rolling suitcases. I'm standing
  • next to the sign that has the company logo and there is a queue of people behind me. EK and D walk up and stand on the curb in front and a little to the side of me blocking the whole
  • sidewalk. They've been there maybe two minutes when the bus pulls up and stops by the sign but he moves forward cause they are standing at the curb.
  • Before he can open the door I grab my two suitcases and lift all 100 pounds and step forward and in front of them and say excuse me as assertively as I can thinking they will get the hint and step
  • back. The shuttle is half full and there's no way I'm gonna wait again cause of EK & D. The driver sheepishly opens the door not knowing who was there first, and I step onto the bus to hand him
  • my bags so he can put them on the shelf. I turn around and EK & D have now stepped between me and my wagon with my kids standing there holding it. They
  • are trying to push past me to get on the bus with their bags and they are between me and my 4 & 6 year olds.

  • I stepped down in front of EK and now I'm ed. And I said much louder this time "Move back! | need to get my wagon!" EK is aghast that I'm talking to her like that and D starts to try and say
  • something back to argue with me. I move down the stairs and back to the sidewalk as they both start to protest and that's when I snapped.
  • Without yelling, I raise my voice loud enough so everyone on the bus and the whole platform can hear me. "I have been waiting 25 minutes for this shuttle and you have been here for two." D starts
  • to talk back like I'm out of line and even louder I say "You two are trying to cut this whole line of people! So who is the one being rub here hmmm? Now get BACK!"
  • I don't know if it's what I said or the fact I delivered that last part like an angry drill sergeant but they both literally scurried away behind the rest of the waiting passengers as fast as they could. I
  • got my kids on board and all my bags and the other two couples that had been there before EK & D made it on as well. EK& D were nowhere to be seen at this point and all of the bus passengers
  • were so nice to my daughters the whole shuttle ride to our car, asking them about their trip and talking to them. I slipped the driver a nice tip and he was all smiles as he helped me get all my bags off.
  • JF1500 Excellent work
  • night_noche I am glad that you spoke up. Too bad the other couples were as useless as a broken door stop.
  • Agile_Menu_9776 Good job!!! Entitled people like EK and D are so frustrating and obnoxious but you dealt with it like a pro!! And you were a great role model for your kids also. I love the way you put it right back on them cutting in line in front of all those people and expecting to go first when they just arrived and went right to the top of the line! Wonderful! You deserve a prize.
  • bimmer4WDrift Now if we could only get this to work for vehicles that cut in line at the front or shoulder passers.
